Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in environmental services or related facilities work.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and floor care.
• Ability to handle biohazardous/infectious waste safely per infection control standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing.
• Collect and dispose of waste following hospital policies and guidelines.
• Handle soiled linens and replace with clean bags.
• Sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Respond to spills with proper disinfection and safety practices.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning or maintenance.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and ensure safe storage and usage.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisor for timely resolution.
• Maintain cleaning logs and document completed tasks.
