Job summary

The role requires following cleaning protocols, proper waste handling, PPE use, and safe operation of UV light devices, with a focus on patient and staff safety. High school diploma or GED is required, and some healthcare cleaning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; general-preferred.
• Some experience in healthcare cleaning or related environment preferred.
• All certifications are required upon hire unless stated otherwise.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English; fluent English required.
• Completion of departmental training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of restroom, patient room and general cleaning according to room type and protocol.
• Properly remove, transport and dispose of waste and regulated materials using approved procedures.
• Use PPE correctly and follow lifting techniques to prevent injury.
• Operate UV light devices as required and ensure proper container liners and waste management.
