Job summary

ThedaCare Medical Center - Shawano in Wisconsin is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility, disinfect patient rooms and common areas, and support infection prevention across departments. You will follow approved procedures, mix and store chemicals safely, and use personal protective equipment to protect patients and staff.

Schedule: 3:00 pm–11:30 pm, every other weekend, with holiday rotation; 36 hours per week; 0.9 FTE.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Physical ability to move and lift up to 25 pounds and perform housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Follows infection prevention standards and uses PPE.
• Manages and segregates waste streams including hazardous and clinical waste.
• Supports hospital mission, policies and procedures, and patient safety.
