Job summary

ThedaCare Medical Center – Shawano in Wisconsin is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain cleanliness across patient areas and facilities. You will disinfect rooms, manage waste streams, and support infection prevention standards while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure safety and quality of care.

Scheduled 36 hours per week with a 0.9 FTE, primarily PM shifts, and periodic holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required: ability to read, write and comprehend.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms, floors, offices, and common areas according to infection prevention standards.
• Transports and removes waste, and ensures proper disposal of hazardous materials.
• Collaborates with departments to meet patient and department priorities and safety outcomes.
• Learns and uses required PPE per infection prevention protocol.
• Follows hospital-approved chemical handling and dwell times for cleaning tasks.
