Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Environmental Services staff member to support cleaning and maintenance in a fast-paced health care setting. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with a 3rd shift (EOW) and pay range $18.85–$28.30 per hour.

Eligible for tuition assistance, wellness incentives, and parental leave benefits. The candidate will perform cleaning of assigned areas, handle waste disposal, and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred: One year experience
• Can prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
• Can operate equipment
• Can establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers

Responsibilities

• Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting and sanitizing furniture, washing windows and floors, and restocking restrooms.
• Removes waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash, and recycling materials.
• Keeps equipment clean, reports equipment failures, and maintains a safe working environment per infection control guidelines.
• Attends required in-service education and training classes to maintain technical knowledge and meet deadlines.
