Job summary

ThedaCare Medical Center - Waupaca in Wisconsin is seeking an Environmental Services Technician. You will maintain high cleanliness standards, disinfect patient rooms, and support infection prevention while handling chemicals and waste safely.

Shifts are 2p–10:30p, Monday–Friday with a 4th weekend rotation and 1–2 holidays per year. The position is 40 hours per week, 1.0 FTE. High School diploma or GED is preferred; English literacy and customer service are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and disinfects patient rooms, floors, offices, and common areas following infection prevention standards.
• Transports and removes waste, stocks, and organizes assigned areas.
• Follows standard work processes and uses proper chemicals and protective equipment.
• Collaborates with departments to meet patient and department priorities.
• Learns and uses required personal protective equipment as per protocol.
