Job summary

ECU Health North Hospital is seeking an Area Technician to perform daily cleaning and disinfection of rooms, public areas, and furnishings. The role includes waste and linen disposal, floor care, carpet care, and detail cleaning to maintain a pristine hospital environment.

The position is full-time with benefits, 40 hours per week, on the 2nd shift with rotating weekends and holidays. GED or HS diploma is preferred; prior hospital cleaning experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma preferred or higher.
• Experience with hospital cleaning standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, common areas, furnishings and work zones.
• Remove and dispose of soiled waste and linen.
• Perform floor care and carpet cleaning; detail cleaning to maintain aesthetics and sanitation.
• Follow established policies and procedures to ensure high cleanliness standards.
• Ensure a clean, safe work environment through rotation of shifts and adherence to schedule.
