The Area Technician at ECU Health Medical Center performs daily cleaning and disinfection of rooms, public areas, furnishings and work areas, and handles waste and linen disposal. Floor and carpet care as well as general detailing are required to maintain high sanitation standards throughout the hospital.
Position is part-time with benefits, 20 hours per week, 2nd shift Monday to Friday 3pm-11:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays.
The Area Technician is responsible for the daily cleaning and disinfecting of rooms and public areas, furnishings and assigned work areas, removal and disposal of soiled waste and linen, performing floor care and carpet care and general detail cleaning to ensure that the facility is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The Area Technician must follow established policies and procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation if maintained throughout the hospital.
GED or High School Diploma preferred- or higher.
