Job summary

Mercyhealth Lake Geneva is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for the 2nd shift. You will clean and sanitize patient areas, follow infection prevention standards, and prepare rooms for new patients in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining supplies, handling chemicals safely, and coordinating with departments for special cleaning projects. Experience in cleaning is preferred, and the role offers full-time hours with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas including furniture, tiles, fixtures and surfaces.
• Adhere to infection prevention standards and safety policies.
• Maintain EVS closet, cart and equipment in orderly condition; report hazards or repairs.
• Mix and store chemicals safely, follow dilution ratios, and use PPE as required.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and bed preparation for patients.
