Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean and safe environment across patient rooms and common areas. You will follow infection prevention standards, handle chemicals safely, and restock supplies.

You will also assist with special projects and coordinate with departments to ensure rooms are prepared for new patients. The role requires adherence to safety procedures, proper equipment storage, and timely response to supervisor requests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, common areas, equipment and assigned spaces to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
• Follow infection prevention and safety procedures and handle cleaning chemicals and waste properly.
• Maintain EVS closet, cart, and equipment in a neat, orderly manner; report hazards or needed repairs.
• Restock supplies including paper, soap, and hand sanitizer; assist with cubicle drapes and room setup.
• Coordinate special projects with departments and post informational signs as needed.
• Move furniture and equipment safely; seek assistance when unsure.
