Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Environmental Services team member to clean and sanitize assigned areas, maintaining infection prevention standards and proper chemical handling. The role includes preparing patient rooms, moving supplies, and assisting with special cleaning projects under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, and surfaces.
• Dust, mop floors, clean doors/frames, ceilings and vents; vacuum carpets.
• Follow infection prevention standards and wear PPE as required.
• Maintain EVS closet and equipment; report hazards to supervisor.
• Prepare patient rooms and beds; assist with special cleaning projects as needed.
