Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque seeks an Environmental Supervisor to lead the Environmental Services team under the Director of Environmental Services. You will plan, schedule, train and evaluate staff while ensuring safety, cleanliness, and compliance with Joint Commission standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring operations, coordinating supply orders and repairs, and maintaining a safe, efficient hospital environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in environmental services/housekeeping with leadership role preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and cleaning protocols in a hospital setting.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to use department software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Environmental Services operations and staff.
• Schedule staff, conduct evaluations and training programs.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance hospital-wide.
• Coordinate maintenance of equipment and ordering supplies.
• Monitor room readiness, inspect units and rectify deficiencies.
