Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Worker II to keep hospital facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for patients, staff, and visitors.

You will perform floor care, waste removal, linen handling, spill cleanup, and general cleaning according to infection control standards. You must have 1-3 years of related experience, knowledge of cleaning procedures and chemicals, and the ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and floor care techniques.
• Ability to safely handle biohazardous and infectious waste in compliance with infection control standards.
• Familiarity with equipment cleaning, maintenance, and proper usage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules effectively.
• Knowledge of hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety procedures for environmental services.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Good communication skills to interact with staff, patients, and visitors in a professional manner.

Responsabilités

• Perform floor care tasks: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of waste per policies and guidelines.
• Handle soiled linens, replace with clean bags, ensure proper containment.
• Sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, halls, offices, and common areas.
• Respond to spills with proper disinfection and safety precautions.
• Move furniture and equipment for cleaning or relocations.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and store securely, controlling costs.
