Job summary

Sanford Health is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient and resident areas, following infection control and safety guidelines. Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, halls, restrooms, and common areas, stocking supplies, and using protective equipment as required.

The role supports hospital operations across multiple shifts and may involve overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and appropriate chemicals is helpful.
• Experience in healthcare environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors.
• Cleaning patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms and other areas to meet health standards.
• Wearing protective equipment following guidelines.
• Keeping storage and equipment clean and well-stocked.
• Assisting in laundry areas as appropriate.
