Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Cleaning Technician to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, and departments in accordance with hospital procedures. The role supports daily operations and patient care by maintaining hygiene in patient areas and common spaces.

The incumbent will follow safety guidelines for chemicals and equipment, assist with discharge cleaning, and participate in patient satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient rooms and offices daily and provides cleaning support to departments.
• Completes project work (wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous items) and assists with hospital emergency clean up.
• Participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to safety standards when using chemicals and equipment and marks hazardous areas.
• Follows hospital policies, procedures, rules and regulations, and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
