Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Environmental Services Aide in Erie, PA to perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, offices, and hospital spaces. The role supports discharge and daily cleaning activities, refills dispensers, and ensures cleanliness across departments to maintain a safe care environment.

Responsibilities include project cleaning tasks, adherence to safety standards and hospital policies, and participation in patient satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and cleaning support to departments to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Cleans daily in all areas including discharge cleaning, cycle cleaning, office cleaning and all ancillary area cleaning; cleans building exteriors as needed.
• Refills dispensers in required areas and collects all receptacles.
• Completes projects such as wall washing, trash removal, biohazardous linens and sharps container removal; assists with hospital emergency clean up.
• Participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives and adheres to safety standards when using chemicals and equipment.
• Follows hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; performs other duties as assigned.
