Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time environmental services janitor for Sheboygan County. You will clean patient care areas, surgical spaces, restrooms, lobbies, and offices, maintaining infection control standards.

Shifts are 8 hours with start times between 6:30 am and 8:30 am. No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. Training and benefits are provided according to department policy.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow and understand oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work alone and understand facility layout.
• Performs tasks without disrupting ongoing operations.
• Ability to follow department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cleans patient care areas, surgical areas, restrooms, lobbies, and offices.
• Cleans all environmental surfaces including ceilings and vents.
• Assists in cleaning emergency spills as requested.
• Dusts and mops floors in all areas of the facility.
• Replaces cubicle and window coverings.
• Gathers and disposes recyclables, trash, and medical waste.
• Sorts, stocks and delivers linens and prepares soiled linen.
• Cleans and prepares equipment used in patient care and distributes supplies.
• Fills and cleans supply dispensers.
• Inventories and orders cleaning supplies as needed.
• Keeps housekeeping closets organized and clean.
