Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Environmental Services professional to ensure thorough cleaning of patient rooms, corridors, and common areas while maintaining infection prevention standards.

Responsibilities include stocking supplies, operating related equipment, and coordinating with departments to support a safe, clean hospital environment. Weekday and weekend rotations are required; prior cleaning experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience helpful.
• Knowledge of isolation procedures and Infection Prevention Standards.

Responsibilities

• Thorough cleaning of assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors and showers.
• Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
• Observe isolation procedures and Infection Prevention Standards.
• Maintain EVS closet, EVS cart and equipment in a neat and orderly manner; report hazards.
• Replenish paper, soap, and hand sanitizer.
• Operate bed tracking in EPIC and use Xenex UV Light robot where available.
• Move furniture and supplies as needed following safety procedures.
