Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Environmental Services Tech 1 to thoroughly clean patient and public areas, including floors, furniture, and fixtures. The role involves floor care, carpet extraction, and safe equipment use, with adherence to isolation and infection prevention standards.

You may assist with special projects and maintain supplies using EPIC for bed tracking. Applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent and prior cleaning experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cleaning experience helpful.
• Ability to follow safety and isolation procedures.
• Willingness to work across shifts for floor maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures and bathrooms.
• Perform floor care: stripping, scrubbing, finishing and extraction.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and maintain supplies.
• Follow isolation and infection prevention standards.
• Assist with special projects and department communications.
