Job summary

Mercy Harvard Hospital is seeking a dedicated environmental services staff member to perform thorough cleaning of patient areas and facilities. The role includes dusting, mopping, window cleaning, and maintaining supply levels, with strict adherence to isolation and infection prevention standards.

Responsibilities also cover coordinating special projects, managing EVS carts and equipment, and reporting safety hazards. Prior cleaning experience is helpful, with a high school diploma preferred.

• Previous cleaning experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for thorough cleaning of assigned areas including, but not limited to, furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors, showers, etc.
• Perform high and low dusting of TV's, lights, walls, mop floors, elevators and stairs, clean door frames, ceiling vents, and vacuum carpet, etc.
• Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
• Observes all isolation procedures and Infect Prevention Standards.
• Maintains EVS closet, EVS cart, and all equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
• Special project assignments, including coordinating specifics such as; contacting affected departments to advise of upcoming project, and post informational signs.
