Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a cleaning associate to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, departments, and ancillary areas, following established cleaning procedures to support patient care and daily operations.

The role includes timely patient room cleaning, discharge and cycle cleaning, exterior cleaning, and replenishing dispensers. You will participate in patient satisfaction efforts while adhering to safety guidelines and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.
• FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed.

Responsibilities

• Completes the standardized cleaning process in patient rooms, offices, departments, and other ancillary areas utilizing the appropriate cleaning procedures.
• Performs timely patient room cleaning and supports various departments; cleans daily in all areas including discharge cleaning, patient room cleaning, cycle cleaning and all ancillary area cleaning.
• Cleaning of assigned building exteriors and refilling of dispensers; collection of all receptacles.
• Participates in Patient Satisfaction initiatives to meet department goals.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards in the use of chemicals, equipment and machinery and marks hazardous areas.
• Follows hospital policies, procedures, rules and regulations and performs other duties as assigned.
