Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a dedicated environmental services associate to maintain a clean, safe environment across the Medical Center. You will wash, sanitize, and dispose of waste following infection-control standards, and operate cleaning equipment to support a sanitary facility.

Schedule is 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with every other weekend. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and 0-1 year related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No substitution of experience for degree.
• Related experience 0-1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties in accordance with established schedules, departmental procedures, and infection control guidelines.
• Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Removes and properly disposes of waste in accordance with established waste-stream procedures.
• Cleans and services assigned areas following departmental standards and procedures.
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies throughout the Medical Center as needed.
• Operates assigned cleaning equipment, including floor machines and buffers.
• Follows appropriate safety procedures when handling cleaning supplies, equipment, and waste.
• Participates in a minimum of eight department/unit meetings annually.
• Performs additional cleaning and environmental services duties as assigned.
