Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking an Evening Per Diem Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe hospital environment. You will perform cleaning, sanitizing, waste disposal, and equipment care in accordance with infection control guidelines and departmental schedules.

The role requires physical stamina to stand, lift up to 35 lbs with assistance, and frequent walking. Prior cleaning experience is preferred; high school diploma is common.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 year of related cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe usage.

Responsibilities

• Completes waste stream removal.
• Clean and service assigned areas per procedures.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies around departments; maintain sanitary conditions.
• Operates floor machines and buffers.
• Participate in at least eight unit/department meetings annually.
• Maintain assigned areas in a clean, safe condition at all times.
