Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services/Housekeeping professional to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment. You will perform routine cleaning, sanitization, waste removal, and floor-care across patient and non-patient areas, following infection-control guidelines and departmental procedures.

The role requires standing and walking, with lifting and pushing as needed, and requires 0-1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe application.
Working knowledge of vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.

Responsibilities

Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties in accordance with established schedules, organizational standards, and infection-control guidelines.
Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe, orderly, and sanitary condition.
Removes and properly disposes of designated waste streams in accordance with established procedures.
Cleans and services assigned rooms, departments, common areas, and other Medical Center spaces.
Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies within and between Medical Center departments as needed.
Operates cleaning and floor-care equipment safely and according to procedures.
Attends department or unit meetings at least eight times per year.
