Qualifications

• Certification in Environmental Services preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and infection control standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of waste following hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Handle soiled linens and replace with clean bags, ensuring proper containment and storage.
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas per infection control standards.
• Respond to spills and contamination, ensuring proper disinfection and safety precautions.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning or department relocations.
• Monitor supply usage and store supplies safely.
• Communicate maintenance and repair needs to supervisor for timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate cleaning logs and complete task reports.
