Job summary

Powers Health in East Chicago, IN is seeking a full-time Environmental Services worker for the St. Catherine Hospital location. The role entails performing housekeeping and service duties to maintain patient, non-patient and public areas in a clean, safe, and appealing condition.

Shifts are evenings with a standard 80-hour pay period. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, retirement savings, PTO, and additional programs to support employee wellness and development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Relevant experience is preferred but not required.
• Able to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions given in English.

Responsibilities

• Empty, clean and reline waste baskets.
• Maintains a clean, safe and sanitary assigned work area at all times.
• Scours and polishes sinks, tubs, mirrors and commodes.
• Assists in soiled linen pick-up.
• Use microfiber and vacuum cleaner and or damp dusting ceilings, walls, vents, drapery rods etc. and all high touch surfaces.
