Job summary

IU Health is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services teammate for the North Hospital with an evening shift (3pm - 11:30pm, rotating weekends). You will clean patient rooms, offices and clinical areas, following infection control protocols to ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

No prior experience is required; PPE will be provided and you must be able to perform physical tasks, use light cleaning equipment, and access areas like NICU/OR as needed.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• Must wear protective equipment as required by the environment or regulations.
• Physically capable of long standing, bending, lifting up to 80% of the time.
• Must be able to operate light floor cleaning equipment.
• Able to climb ladders and clean technically demanding areas such as IR/Cardiac Cath/NICU/OR/ED.

Responsibilities

• Provides cleaning and sanitizing services for patient rooms, offices, clinics and public spaces.
• Supports patient safety through high-quality cleaning and infection-control standards.
• Communicates and collaborates with clinical teams to ensure cleaning supports patient care flow.
