Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated cleaning technician to perform standardized cleaning in patient rooms, offices, departments and other ancillary areas, ensuring a clean, safe environment for patient care.

You will clean patient rooms daily, support departments, refill dispensers, and collect waste. Additional duties include discharge cleaning, wall washing, trash removal, and adherence to safety standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills.
• Ability to operate power equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs timely patient room cleaning and provides cleaning support to the various departments.
• Cleans daily in all areas including discharge cleaning, cycle cleaning, office cleaning and ancillary area cleaning.
• Cleaning of assigned building exteriors and refilling dispensers; collection of receptacles.
• Completes project work such as wall washing, trash removal and biohazardous materials handling.
• Adheres to hospital safety standards and hospital policies; supports patient satisfaction initiatives.
