Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a housekeeping specialist responsible for preventing disease spread by thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing areas, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and sterilizing equipment.

This onsite role at 2014 Washington Street offers a 40-hour week, day shifts, and a pay range of $17.71 to $21.51 per hour. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, with 0–1 year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 0–1 year related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply them safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties in alignment with the organization and according to pre-established schedules and infection control guidelines.
• Completes waste stream removal.
• According to established procedures clean and service assigned areas.
• Move furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around the Medical Center departments, and performs a variety of cleaning duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly, and sanitary condition.
• Operates assigned equipment, (floor machines, buffers).
• Participates in a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually.
• Maintain assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe and sanitary condition at all times.
