Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks an Environmental Services Associate at Newton-Wellesley Hospital to perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks, dispose of waste, and sterilize equipment per infection control guidelines. The role requires basic education, and prior cleaning experience is valued.

Work is onsite at 2014 Washington Street with a 40-hour week from 7:00am to 3:30pm, including every other weekend. Pay ranges from $17.71 to $21.51 per hour with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to apply them safely.
• Working knowledge of cleaning tools such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties in alignment with the organization and infection control guidelines.
• Completes waste stream removal.
• Cleans and services assigned areas according to established procedures.
• Moves furniture, equipment, and supplies to maintain a sanitary environment.
• Operates floor machines and buffers.
• Participates in a minimum of eight unit/department meetings annually.
• Maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean, safe and sanitary condition.
