Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation in North Charleston, SC is seeking an Environmental Services Aide for a PRN shift 11:30 am - 8:00 pm. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, sanitary hospital environment and adherence to safety standards.

You will work to uphold our quality care in a healing setting. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and housekeeping experience, with the ability to work flexible hours including weekdays, weekends, evenings or nights as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety across all hospital areas according to established quality standards and regulations.
• Utilize cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and floor polishers to perform duties.
• Support tidy work environment and handle general office equipment as needed.
• Apply good communication and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and expectations.
• Follow guidelines for handling hazardous materials and exposure situations.
