Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary hospital environment and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. You will operate cleaning equipment and support a healing setting for patients.

No prior experience required beyond a high school diploma; on-the-job training is provided. Ability to work weekdays, weekends, evenings or nights as needed to support patient care and cleanliness goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping preferred.
• May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety across hospital areas according to standards and regulations.
• Utilize cleaning equipment to perform duties (vacuuming, mopping, polishing floors).
• Assist in maintaining a tidy work environment and handle general office equipment as needed.
• Communicate clearly and work independently to meet deadlines.
