Job summary

Lowell General Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Worker to maintain a clean, orderly hospital environment. Under close supervision, you will perform repetitive housekeeping tasks across patient areas, offices, clinics, and other areas, ensuring sanitation and organization.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience, with opportunities for career growth and industry-standard benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read simple instructions, write, and speak basic English.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a cleaning cart in an orderly condition and keeps it stocked.
• Removes waste including rubbish, cardboard, recycling, and hazardous material.
• Cleans and disinfects bathrooms and common areas with appropriate chemicals.
• Disposes of trash and replaces liners; transports to appropriate area.
• Disinfects patient rooms and makes beds with fresh linen after discharge.
• Transports linen hampers to designated areas and manages linen bags.
