Job summary

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, AZ seeks an Environmental Services Worker I for a full-time day shift (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) in the Housekeeping department. Must be willing to alternate weekends and holidays. Performs cleaning, floor care and waste management to uphold hygiene and patient/staff safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment and products.
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas, maintaining infection control standards.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums and dusts floors and surfaces.
• Maintains and treats floors and upholstery per procedures.
• Washes walls, ceilings, windows and woodwork for hygiene.
• Restocks supplies and reports shortages to ensure availability.
• Handles trash and biohazard materials safely per safety protocols.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment, reporting malfunctions.
