Job summary

Northwest Medical Center is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Worker I to support our Housekeeping department. The role covers cleaning, floor care, and waste management in assigned areas, with a day shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and weekend/holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include sanitizing spaces, handling waste per HIPAA protocols, restocking supplies, and maintaining equipment. Candidates should have 1–2 years of experience and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of cleaning or environmental service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products.
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively and safely.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift or move objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas following infection control standards.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and dusts floors and surfaces.
• Maintains floor care and upholstery per department procedures.
• Washes walls, ceilings, windows, and woodwork to keep areas hygienic.
• Restocks supplies and reports shortages for continuous availability.
• Handles trash and biohazardous materials safely per safety policies.
• Operates and maintains cleaning equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Assists with minor repairs and notifies supervisors of larger facility issues.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
