Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and infection control considerations.
• Certification in Environmental Services or Healthcare Cleaning (CHEST/CHESP) preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, and shampooing.
• Collect and dispose of waste following hospital policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Handle soiled linens and replace with clean bags.
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Respond to spills and conduct proper disinfection and safety procedures.
• Move furniture and equipment for cleaning and department relocations.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and ensure safe storage and usage.
• Communicate maintenance needs to supervisor or facilities.
• Maintain cleaning logs and report completed tasks.
