Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department. Hours are 7:00AM - 3:00PM, including every other weekend. Starting rate $18.50/hr.

Responsibilities include cleaning nursing units, patients' rooms and designated areas, restocking carts, handling bio-hazard materials, and reporting repairs. Requirements: HS diploma or GED, English proficiency, and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to bend/push/pull/lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes appropriate cleaning equipment in nursing units, patients' rooms and designated areas.
• Follows department policies on cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization.
• Cleans up major spills and responds to pages promptly.
• Restocks housekeeping carts and removes trash and linen.
• Follows instructions for cleaning solutions and bio-hazard handling.
• Reports repairs and attends department meetings as needed.
