Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated environmental services staff member to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment. The role involves cleaning discharge rooms, patient rooms, operating rooms, and restrooms, with emphasis on proper chemical usage and sanitation.

The position requires the ability to follow training, demonstrate cleaning steps, and contribute to patient, visitor, and staff satisfaction while performing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must (after brief training) be able to demonstrate the correct cleaning steps and use of chemicals, tools, equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize in discharge rooms, patient rooms, operating rooms, ancillary rooms and restrooms (i.e., sinks, toilets, showers).
• Performs tasks of dusting, removing trash, replenishing supplies, sanitizing, spot cleaning, vacuuming and mopping floors.
• Mix and use chemicals properly.
• Focus on patient, visitor and employee satisfaction.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
