Job summary

CHI Health Midlands is seeking an Operating Engineer to independently perform journeyman-level duties across the energy plant and hospital facilities. You will design, install, and maintain building systems to ensure safety, efficiency, and occupant comfort, while monitoring equipment and recommending improvements for optimal performance.

Responsibilities include operating boilers, chillers, absorbers, and building controls, plus water treatment reporting and routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years boiler operation experience.
• Third Grade Station Engineer: NE candidate
• High School Diploma or GED upon hire

Responsibilities

• Operates high-pressure boilers.
• Operates chillers, absorbers, pumps, steam pipes and related machinery.
• Maintains boilers, chillers, pumps, steam pipes, and related equipment.
• Operates automated building control system and makes corrections as required.
• Operates/adjusts air handling equipment.
