Job summary

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring an Electrician to install, test, repair and replace electrical circuits and equipment throughout the hospital. Qualifications

• City electrical journeyman or master electrical license
• Valid State of Kansas Driver’s License with no stipulations and be insurable to operate the company vehicle
• Vocational school graduate
• Four to five years’ apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training
• Three years of work experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical maintenance and control systems
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Inspects and tests electrical lighting, alarm, communication and power circuits and equipment
• Reads and interprets blueprints, technical manuals and schematics and maintains proper manufacturers' specifications
• Maintains and reviews blueprints and manufacturers' manuals on equipment and codes to ensure compliance
• Works closely with regulatory agencies and contractors to ensure compliance with codes and standards
• Isolates and repairs defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment and troubleshoots grounding and ground fault power problems
• Maa intains and repairs electrical systems and testing emergency generating system
• Performs preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
• Maintains corrective and preventive records and documentation
• Properly handling and processing hazardous chemicals and waste as needed
• Meets the on-call rotation schedule for after hours, holidays and weekends
• Performs all other duties as assigned
