Job summary

Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a Plumber Welder to install, test, repair, and replace plumbing and welding systems across the facility. You will read blueprints, maintain heating and drainage networks, and support preventive maintenance.

The role requires a Kansas driver’s license, knowledge of codes, and prior welding/plumbing experience. This position includes on-call rotation and benefits as part of Wesley’s team.

Qualifications

• Vocational school graduate.
• Backflow preventer testing/repair license preferred.
• Valid Kansas driver’s license with insurability to operate company vehicle.
• Welding coursework completed is a plus.
• 3–5 year apprenticeship or equivalent on‑the‑job training.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, repairs and replaces plumbing components to maintain facility systems.
• Performs all welding functions throughout the facility.
• Reads blueprints and ensures compliance with codes and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintains and repairs mechanical and laundry equipment.
• Requisitions parts and maintains records for repairs and restocks.
