Job summary

Wesley Medical Center seeks an Electrician to install, test, repair, and replace electrical circuits and equipment ensuring uninterrupted power for lighting and operation of hospital systems. The role includes reading blueprints, adherence to codes, and continuous improvement of processes.

Required is a city electrical journeyman or master license and a valid Kansas driver’s license; vocational schooling is expected, with several years of on-the-job training or apprenticeship experiences.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical control systems and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Effective communication skills with diverse teams and patients.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical lighting, alarm, communication, and power circuits and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics and ensure compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Maintain and review equipment manuals and codes to ensure compliance with standards.
• Troubleshoot defects in wiring, switches, motors, and electrical gear; repair as needed.
• Test and maintain emergency generating systems and perform preventive maintenance.
