Job summary

Freeman Health System in Bentonville, AR seeks a Paramedic to assist RNs and physicians in delivering patient care across the nursing process. The role supports the Emergency Department under the supervision of the nursing and medical director, with paramedic scope per state law.

Requirements include completion of EMTP program; preferred Critical Care Paramedic and at least one year of paramedic experience. This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week and comprehensive Freeman benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assists RNs and physicians in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Functions under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse with direction of the nursing and medical director.
• Paramedics may perform patient care functions in accordance with their scope of practice under State law and in accordance with Northwest Health System policy/procedure titled "Role of the Paramedic in the Hospital Setting" (Policy No. 2151.1).
