Job summary

DASCO Home Medical Equipment seeks a Hospital Liaison to support discharge planning for hospital clients and coordinate the delivery of DME to patients’ homes. The role requires communicating needs, verifying benefits, and ensuring accurate paperwork.

Responsibilities include in-hospital equipment handoff, patient education, and collaboration with hospital staff and the DASCO team. Some travel between branch and hospital locations is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Six months’ experience in healthcare/medical/insurance/DME customer service role.
• Associate's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily discharge planning meetings and record patient needs.
• Communicate patient information to DASCO staff for benefits verification and inventory confirmation.
• Meet with patient/family/caregiver to review discharge and equipment needs.
• Deliver equipment to patient’s room and educate on use, care, and maintenance.
• Complete paperwork and answer questions accurately and patiently.
• Maintain working knowledge of home medical equipment and DASCO products and services.
• Manage consignment accounts, inventory, and related paperwork.
• Support branch operations and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
