Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician in Spokane, WA to manage inventory and ship blood products to local hospitals. This role trains staff, supports patient care, and contributes to a life-saving mission with a focus on accuracy and safety.

You will receive, prepare, and ship crucial orders, inspect each product, and deliver them in a company vehicle while communicating timelines and product availability to customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months of customer service experience required.
• Valid in-state driver’s license.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
• Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
• Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
