Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician to join our Tempe distribution team. You will receive, prepare, and ship blood products, performing visual inspections to ensure accuracy, and deliver them safely to hospitals in a company vehicle. The schedule runs Friday to Tuesday, 11:00am–7:30pm, with Wednesdays and Thursdays off.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 6 months of customer service, and the ability to lift 40 lbs. In-state driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Six months of customer service experience required.
• Prior healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
• Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
• Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
• Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
• Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
