The role includes educating on insurance criteria, equipment options, and program eligibility to streamline discharge processes. The Liaison will manage daily rounds, stock vehicles with necessary items, and ensure accurate documentation such as CMNs and chart notes for reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
• Knowledge of basic Medicare coverage guidelines and documentation requirements (CMNs, chart notes).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Stock vehicle daily with necessary equipment, disposables, paperwork, and marketing literature for discharge.
• Make rounds to contact case managers at facilities to identify discharge equipment needs.
• Communicate with centers about O2 discharges so home setup can be scheduled.
• Understand and communicate coverage criteria to case managers and patients.
• Complete setup paperwork daily for all equipment delivered.
• Assist with obtaining CMNs and chart notes for billing as requested by center.
