Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions seeks a Hospital Officer to supervise detainees in a hospital setting, enforcing protocols at all times. You will maintain custody, manage restraints during medical procedures, and ensure detainees stay within safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include timely paperwork, reporting unusual events to the Transportation Supervisor, and ensuring detainees are properly secured before leaving the hospital. This role may require overtime and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; state requirements for employment required.
• Three years' experience handling prisoners or in corrections, detention, or military police.
• Must be at least 21 years old and hold relevant licenses and training certificates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain custody and control of detainees in the hospital at all times.
• Follow restraint protocols and ensure medical procedures are not hindered.
• Monitor positioning, prevent unauthorized visits or calls as required.
• Complete paperwork and reports accurately; log all shift events and notify supervisors.
• Ensure safety, compliance with laws, regulations, and policies; perform other duties as assigned.
