Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required for employment.
• Three years’ experience handling prisoners as a Law Enforcement Officer or Corrections/Detention/Military Police Officer.
• Must be able to travel and work overtime as needed.
• State firearms license and security credentials required.
• Training in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military completed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain custody and control of detainees in hospital at all times.
• Follow restraint protocols and ensure patient care procedures are not hindered by restraints.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and reports accurately and timely.
• Prepare duty logs and report unusual events to Transportation Supervisor.
• Ensure detainees are secured before leaving the hospital and monitor safety at all times.
