Qualifications

• High School Graduation or GED.
• Four (4) years of professional food production experience including food preparation, cooking and baking.
• Knowledge of proper food handling procedures and techniques, food safety and kitchen sanitation.
• Current Washington State Food Handler Card (or permit within 15 days of employment).

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient, cafeteria, and catering food items using standard recipes, therapeutic diets, modified textures and advanced cooking techniques.
• Prepare food products utilizing basic and advanced cooking techniques, standard recipes, and plating guidelines.
• Set the menu and patient food production schedule each shift for Food Services staff.
• Communicates with Lead Cook and Food Services Manager to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Directs and supports Food Services staff with lower-level food preparation and serving tasks.
